REAL Beauty

(This Category is also known as "Bikini" in other organizations)

Who:
Attractive females with good shape and tone who have the ability to display their poise and grace onstage. This category is great for models, current and former pageant competitors although it is open to everyone!

The Look:
There is no specific percentage of body fat or musculature that is ideal for this category, rather it's what best suits each athlete. Competitors should display a toned “beach” physique with symmetrical upper and lower body development. No excessive muscularity or conditioning. Physique should be lean without excessive body fat, but should not display significant muscle size, separation or striation. Abdominal definition is acceptable but a ripped "six pack" is not ideal for this division. The general rule is that you should be in shape and appear 'hot' in a swimsuit!

**REAL Beauty competitors do need to have a tan, but do NOT require a competition tan. You do need a natural tan or tanning bed tan so that your physique and features don’t get washed out under the hot lights of the stage**

Judging:
Overall, judges are looking for a shapely physique; good posture and symmetry; confidence, charisma and exceptional style on stage; ability to pose in interesting, photographable ways; lean body composition; great stage presence; and an attractive, healthy, vibrant look that could be realistically marketable in the industry. Models should seem comfortable and relaxed and look like they are having a great time! They should show personality and appear as though they enjoy being in the spotlight. Competitors are scored individually and in comparisons

2 Rounds of Competition

1. Bikini Round
Models select their own suit for this round. They should pay attention to styles, colors, patterns and fits that flatter and accentuate their fit body - and perhaps hide any flaws. Standard Outfits for REAL Beauty include high heels and a 2-piece swimsuit (something that would look great on the beach) that best displays their physique and body symmetry.

Jewelry is acceptable but along with your suit, should not distract judges’ attention away from your physique.

Competitors should adopt a relaxed stance in this division. Stay tight and maintain good posture, but do not appear as though you are flexing. Generally, competitors will walk out and pose at 3 points on stage and will later come out as a group.

2. Evening Wear Round
This round is for models to display their grace and beauty. Evening wear is defined as floor length gowns with heels. Models should again pay attention to styles, colors and patterns that flatter their figure. Particular attention should also be paid to hair, make-up and jewelry as we are judging on the total package. Nothing should be too distracting.

Competitors will walk out and pose at 3 points on stage and will later come out as a group.

REAL Beauty Divisions
* Experience: Each local and regional REAL event will host an Open Division with the Professional Division being added to the National, International and World events.

* Height: Models may be divided by height depending on the final competitor count and median height of the athletes. This is at the discretion of the promoter and REAL representative at each event.

All REAL World Tour competitions follow the Drug Testing guidelines set out by the REAL World Tour to encourage a Natural stage and create an even playing field.
