divisions

The REAL World Tour takes a great amount of pride in its ability, efforts and tools developed to groom its athletes from all levels, divisions and walks of life to reach all their personal goals, become inspirations to the world and/or become professional athletes.

Novice

This division is designed for all newcomers to competition, athletes with only a few contests or limited experience in the industry. REAL guides athletes in this division on the basics of competition, stage preparedness, and introduces them to the fitness community and media.

NOTE: Remember all Novice and ‘first time’ competitors are required to attend a REAL Nspiration Camp, workshop or seminar prior to advancing to the Open Division.

Open

This division is designed for those athletes that have a solid foundation in the areas of competition, overall presentation, a progressed physique, and have begun to develop a presence within the various communities (local, national and social communities). REAL guides these athletes towards their “niche” in the industry and begins to groom them for the next step in their fitness careers.

Advanced

This division is designed to specifically groom athletes for the professional division. REAL will guide these athletes in areas of improvement, help refine stronger areas (physique and presence) and further develop them in the various communities (social and media). As these athletes meet the base requirements for the professional division, they will be able to submit for approval into the ranks of our coveted REAL Professionals.

PROFESSIONAL

This division is designed for our elite of the elite athletes, the athletes that are held in the highest regard and have the utmost respect from our community and industry. Those who have developed a physique matching their categories’ specific criteria, have a strong community presence, have begun to be seen in the media and have perfected their competitive presence. REAL expects and requires a lot from these athletes through advanced participation in the REAL Community (TheREALspot.org), special appearances, increased exposure for themselves and through representing REAL and the REAL way of life in every aspect.

NOTE: ALL current REAL Professionals must either compete within eighteen (18) months or submit to the Approval Board to maintain their REAL Professional status. As we have raised the bar for our Professionals and to show the world our determination to legitimize all our REAL Professionals, we must take this step.

Divisional Advancements

First, NO advancement is automatic. REAL is developing a clear and distinct difference between every division (visual, stage presence, poise and more). The spectators of REAL World Tour events should have NO question as to what division they are watching and cheering on. So, even if you win your division, that does NOT mean you will advance. You must meet the base criteria for the higher division.

NOTE: All ‘first time’ REAL competitors and Novice Division competitors are required to attend one REAL Nspiration Camp, seminar or workshop prior to competing in the Open Division or higher.

Contest Participation

Should you win or do well, the Head Judge and REAL Corporate representatives have the opportunity to advance you to the next division with a unanimous vote. This does NOT mean you have to win as there are many events that the top two or three meet the criteria for the higher division. Schedule a meeting with the Head Judges after the event for your request to advance. Do not take offense to their decision as they are strictly guided by the criteria and it does take a unanimous vote to advance you this way. This does NOT apply to advancing to the Professional Division.

Screenings
At Events and Camps

Every REAL event has a Physique Screening process before the scoring rounds and each REAL Camp also has a screening opportunity. This screening is one of our several measures to identify potential drug use as well as screen athletes to ensure they are in the correct division and category. Should the Physique Screening panel decide you are ready for the higher division, they will ask you if you wish to compete in that division. The decision at this point is yours. By not advancing, you will NOT be scored down or frowned upon in any way.

Submissions
Also for Competitors from Other Organizations
ALL Submissions sent to Operations@REALWorldTour.com

Every athlete has the ability to submit for advancement to the next higher division. This is also REQUIRED to advance to the professional division. Every submission will be scored in the same manner, and depending on your score, you will or will not be advanced. Do not take offense to the Approval Board’s decision. Their goal is to have every athlete in the correct division and category as well as do what is BEST for each athlete. Following the scoring of your submission, a board member will contact you with your results and discuss your strong points as well as areas the board would like to see you focus on. Should your submission be denied, the board member will give you a specific list and timeline to follow to help guide you to advancement in the timeliest manner possible.

NOTE: As this measure allows you to bypass a contest and or REAL Camp, we do have a fee of $100.00 (US).

Each submission needs the following:

Essay (video or written) – this is to provide all your current contact information, let the board know why you feel you deserve the advancement, give a brief personal and contest history, provide the board with DIRECT links to your REAL Spot profile and to ALL the sites you have or are associated with. You will also list any sponsors you have and or have had and the reasons your supported their products or services.
Photos – Both on and off stage, modeling or not, the board needs to see you in various forms.

Please see our SUBMISSION SCORING AND APPROVAL PROCESS for more details on how each submission will be scored.

SAMPLE SUBMISSION

All submissions received by Monday (close of business) will begin to be reviewed Tuesday and the results given by close of business Friday.
